Health authorities in Spain announced on Friday that the first known case of the Zika virus being sexually transmitted had been reported. A woman from Madrid contracted it from her partner who had been diagnosed shortly after returning from a trip to Latin America in either April or May. To date, Spain has 158 known cases of Zika infections, all of which resulted from travelling overseas.
